Ideal for couples, families or groups up to four. The distinguished Junior Suites are airy and feature a Jacuzzi on your own private terrace. Superior Junior Suite Our most distinguished accommodation. These spacious, charming rooms offer the best view of Arenal Volcano. Deluxe Room:

Our deluxe rooms are a very special hideaway for honeymooners or couples on a romantic vacation. They feature a gorgeous king-size bed crafted by local artisans, a spacious bathroom with a fitted Jacuzzi, and a beautiful view, facing the splendor of the rain forest. You and your partner will feel welcome by two plush cotton bathrobes as well as the many other amenities we offer in all our rooms. Honeymooning couples will be greeted with a special romantic welcome package. Superior Standard Room In addition to our standard room amenities, these rooms offer plush cotton bathrobes and a breathtaking view of the Arenal volcano, especially perfect for those who wish to view the volcano at night. Standard Room:

Our spacious, elegant and comfortable standard rooms accommodate two to three people. They are equipped with one king-sized or two queen-sized beds. They have either a private balcony or a terrace overlooking our tropical gardens, and many have a direct or partial view of the volcano. All include split-unit, silent air conditioning, a spacious bathroom with bathtubs (wheelchair accessible rooms feature large showers), cable TV, telephone, safe deposit box, coffee maker and hair dryer.

Hydrotherapy Treatments:

The Grand Spa at Tabacón specializes in invigorating hydrotherapy treatments and volcanic mud therapies, as well as massages and skin-care treatments. Our certified therapists will assist you in reaching the ultimate level of relaxation using your preferred massage technique according to your needs, whether you prefer an Aromatherapy or Deep-tissue massage, the increasingly popular volcanic hot stone therapies, Shiatsu or other excellent therapies. These combine perfectly with the effects of Tabacón’s hot springs. This therapy will be the first of its kind to be implemented in Costa Rica.

The new therapy is Temazcal A pre-Hispanic bath that was widely used in Mesoamerican cultures: Tabacón Resort will implement Temazcal as a means of differentiation, and as such, offer services appropriate to one of the most exclusive spas in the world. Temazcal serves to detoxify the body, purifying the respiratory tract and digestive organs, and toning the nervous system. Additionally, the heat and the healing properties of the different medicinal plants that are used in the therapy are excellent for treating and alleviating bone, muscle and gynecological problems. Considered to be a purification ceremony by the Aztecs, Temazcal is an experience led by a Shamanic guide who applies a series of therapeutic practices: massage, hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, chanting, visualization, meditation exercises and catharsis to guide the emotions. The Tabacón Hot Springs perfectly combine mineral content, volume and temperature. While there are many hot springs destinations around the world, few offer this special balance set in a splendorous natural paradise Hot Springs Benefits: Hot springs are considered a natural expression of Earth’s inherent energy. Geologically, Tabacón Resort’s hot springs are 97% rain-based and 3% magma-based. Rainwater enters the earth through fissures on the surface and is then heated by magma found in the earth’s core. Once heated, the waters rise to surface, taking with them minerals found in the earth’s rocky stratus. Thus, the resort’s waters are loaded with minerals. Hot springs provide many benefits stemming from various chemical, physical and biological effects. The chemical effects are related to the minerals and other substances in the water, which are transferred to the skin and bloodstream through osmosis. The physical effects are due in large part to the water temperature, which helps dilate the skin, thus improving oxygen flow in the tissues that are being treated. The heat also encourages the flow of natural sedating substances in the body, encouraging muscle relaxation. Altogether, these effects create of a sense of wellbeing. The biological effects are produced by the hydrothermal flora and fauna, integrating micro and macro organisms in a complex union. This effect is called “biogleas,” and is composed of thousand of different species which strengthen the skin’s defense systems, helping it to repair itself from external attacks such as aging. Our distinctive facilities are comprised of thermo-mineral rivers, running at a soothing temperature range from 27 º C to 42º C, flowing through exotic tropical gardens, forming natural waterfalls and river pools.

Ave del Paraíso Restaurant:

Featuring lovely views of the main waterfall and our lush tropical gardens, Ave del Paraíso is located in the resort’s hot springs and garden area. Some tables offer direct volcano views.

The restaurant is designed to accommodate large group lunches and dinners, and also for guests seeking a more informal setting. Our extensive lunch menu features salads, sandwiches and light entrees. Fruit juices and milk shakes complement our Costa Rican cuisine, and are perfect for the mid-day meal. Our renowned tropical cocktails are available from the main bar. Dinners are served buffet style. While our salad, pasta and dessert bars are staples in the evening service, main courses vary according to the day’s theme. Daily selections always feature at least three main courses, hot and cold side dishes and grilled selections. Native Costa Rican ingredients, which typically include white or yellow rice, black beans, yucca (cassava), plantain, chayote (local squash), hearts of palm, pejibaye and many other local favorites, are an integral part of our recipes.

Los Tucanes offers first-class dining in a relaxed setting. Located on the hotel grounds, with spectacular volcano views and bordered by the rainforest, this welcoming and intimate restaurant serves a tropical breakfast buffet and á la carte dinners.
